Power 4 Home Claims to be able to reduce your electric bill by up to 70%.
Is this true?
Can Power 4 Home REALLY save you the hundreds of dollars per month it claims?
DYD solar power systems claim to be able to cut your electric bills by a whooping 70 to 95%, be installed for under $200 dollars, and… it all takes less than 8 hours to set up. Now, if you’re like me, and keep your utilities on the light side, 70% off of the average $120 per month I spend on electricity would be $84 per month savings. And.. That’s a dig deal. It Power 4 home really can save you that much money, I can’t see why anyone wouldn’t invest the little time and money it takes to set up in this program. That being said, we just had to see if Power 4 home works for ourselves.
How We Tested Power 4 Home…
Now, I’m not much of a handyman and I will admit that I have no experience setting up one of theses systems. However, Power 4 Home claims that anyone can go to the hardware store, buy the material and easily assemble the solar panels with a few basic tools… So I guess I’m the perfect test for that claim.
To get started we took the top 5 leading DYD solar power manuals. They all told us how to set up our solar power system, but some were much thorough than others. We ended up going with the Power 4 Homes plan because that one was way more in-depth than the others. We’ll get more into that program later, but for now here how it works.
What We Found.
Power 4 Home says we can build our solar panel system for less than $200. The professional installations cost well over $2000, so only spending $200 is pretty darn good.
The manual was right. Once we got the material, the installation was simple. We followed the steps by building the solar panels and placing them in the spots that get the most direct sun light. All in all, it took less than half a day to complete.
Our Results…
When I got my first power bill using the solar panels I was shocked. My energy cost has dropped significantly! I was very skeptical at first when I saw this system and to be honest, thought it was too much effort with way to little reward. Boy was I wrong. If I continue to save even half as much as I did last month, this system will pay for itself in less than two months.
All in All, our experience was extremely good and I would recommend this system to anyone. The installation and cost was nothing compared to what it’s saving me now. My electric bill is a shadow of what it once was. If you even considered installing this system, I would recommend you do it right now. Once you get that first power bill, you’ll feel like a fool for not doing this years ago.

Power 4 Home OverviewWe purchased 5 separate programs for the initial planning but after we looked at all of them, we only used Power 4 Home. Now, these other programs may have worked, but because this one was so much more in-depth, we didn’t find it necessary to use any of the others. This program was Power 4 Home. In Power 4 home, they go over exactly each piece of material you need, than extremely easy to follow directions that can your whole system installed in less than half a day. Another thing we like about Power 4 Homes is the Guarantee. It’s a little unbelievable, but Power 4 Homes actually encourages you to return the program if you don’t feel you got your full money’s worth. They say that if it didn’t work for you no matter what reason, to return it and let them know why. They then use that informationto inprove their program. This is probably why their system was leagues above all the others we looked at. Update: Power 4 Homes is currently at a 75% discount rate. We just noticed this today and we don’t know how long it will last, but the site does say it may be gone tomorrow. |
